What will you study on this programme?
This innovative, award-winning programme aims to inspire and produce a new generation of fashion design entrepreneurs. The programme encourages you to develop individual flair alongside market intelligence.

In your first year (Level 4) you will:
•Experience a broad range of learning activities designed to stimulate your creative, practical, critical and professional development and awareness of fashion design and its enterprise culture.
•Study digital and design based technology, marketing and enterprise which will give you the confidence to develop your skills in greater depth.

In your second year (Level 5) you will:
•Build upon your knowledge, skills and understanding of the fashion industry and its entrepreneurial challenges.
•Undertake live project briefs and enrichment activities to embed employability skills
•Undertake work experience to gain real life experiences within the industry


In your third year (Level 6) you will:
•Consolidate your skills and knowledge as you focus on your individual career goals.
•Compete in national and international competitions
•Produce a capsule collection
•Extend and consolidate your skills with a Final Major Project, which will be directed towards the development of your individual portfolio.
•Produce a dissertation as the culmination of your selected topic of research and critical analysis

Throughout the programme, your learning will be complimented with Professional Studies which will teach you about life in the fashion industry and give you market awareness. You will also study Contextual Studies, which will help develop your brand identity and contextual understanding of design.


What can you do after you graduate?

The enterprising nature of the programme encourages students to become successfully self-employed, or take their skills into employment or post-graduate study. Recent graduates are working in roles such as: Designer – men’s, women’s,
children’s wear, Forecaster, Buyer, Merchandiser, PR, Self-employed and Retail management
