Hi we are launching this year's programme next Wednesday 15 November at 2pm in Folio - please let me know if you want to attend, the programme runs for 4 weeks - same time same place.

The Arts Business Toolkit:

Graduating in a creative discipline means that you want to turn your creativity into a career.  many creatives choose to work self-employed (or freelance). This series of seminars aims to give you knowledge and skills to hit the ground running as a freelance.

This first group of seminars look at fundraising and making a Grant For the Arts application to the Arts Council, we will take you through the process and talk through successful examples.

After Christmas we will return and there will be a series of seminars dealing with marketing and PR for your business.  The third series will look at participatory and community arts - a growing part of any portfolio career.

The Seminars are led by Joanie Crump a successful freelance arts and festival manager who taught on the Arts & Festival Management Degree at DMU.
